Adriana Mastrangelo

Vocal Technique and Alexander Technique

Adriana Mastrángelo is a Uruguayan mezzo-soprano and a teacher of singing and Alexander Technique. She trained at the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón (ISA, Argentina) and at the Escuela de Profesores de Técnica Alexander de Buenos Aires (ETABA, Argentina).



Her operatic roles include Carmen (Bizet), Leonora in La favorita (Donizetti), the Princess of Bouillon (Cilea), Judith (Bluebeard’s Castle, Bartók), Marie (Wozzeck, Berg), Jenny Hill (Mahagonny, Weill), as well as Sesto, Idamante, Cherubino, Dorabella and Ramiro (Mozart), Der Komponist and Herodias (Strauss), Brangäne and Fricka (Wagner), among others, in opera houses across Ibero-America and Europe. Her artistic activity also includes symphonic and chamber music performances.



For several years, she was a member of the SODRE Choir and the Teatro Colón Permanent Choir, as well as participating in various chamber ensembles.

She currently teaches singing and Alexander Technique at MEM in Rocha, Uruguay, and in her private studio. She is also a guest teacher at training institutions including EUTA (Uruguay), STAR (Brazil), ETABA and Juventus Lírica (Argentina), as well as participating in group workshops.
