Partner Institutions

An International Collaboration for Artistic Excellence

Opera Workshop 2027 is the result of a partnership between internationally renowned institutions committed to the training and development of new generations of opera artists.

The collaboration between cultural and academic organisations in Uruguay and the United Kingdom makes it possible to offer a high-level professional development experience in a unique environment, promoting artistic exchange and strengthening ties between Latin America and some of the world’s leading opera institutions.

Royal Ballet and Opera
Jette Parker Artists Programme

The Jette Parker Artists Programme is a professional artistic development programme of the Royal Ballet & Opera in London, designed to support young artists of exceptional talent in the early stages of their international careers.

Through a high-level professional environment, its participants — including singers, stage directors, conductors, répétiteurs and ballet musicians — work alongside leading professionals from the worlds of opera and dance. The programme combines performance experience, training, coaching and mentorship, allowing artists to develop their practice within one of the world’s leading opera institutions.

Established in 2001, the programme has helped launch the careers of numerous artists who have subsequently achieved international recognition. In addition to its young artists programme, it offers courses, residencies, observerships and other training opportunities aimed at broadening access and strengthening the future talent of the performing arts.

Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Atchugarry (MACA)

Fundación Pablo Atchugarry

As the institutional sponsor of Opera Workshop 2027, the Foundation hosts the programme and provides the support necessary for its realisation, offering a space where art, education and nature come together to foster a comprehensive artistic experience.

The Atchugarry Museum of Contemporary Art (MACA), located in Manantiales, Uruguay, is a space dedicated to contemporary art that brings together exhibition, education, culture and nature. Established through the initiative of Fundación Pablo Atchugarry and inaugurated in 2022, the museum is set within an extensive natural landscape that includes exhibition galleries, a cinema, theatre, library, educational spaces, an amphitheatre and a sculpture park.

Its collection includes works by prominent Uruguayan, Latin American and international artists, while its programme features temporary exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, lectures, seminars and workshops. This diversity makes MACA a meeting point for different artistic disciplines and audiences.

The project seeks to bring contemporary art closer to the community while positioning Uruguay within the international circuit of major exhibitions. The relationship between art, landscape, education and cultural experience is one of the institution’s defining characteristics.

Royal Academy of Music

Founded in 1822, the Royal Academy of Music is one of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious music institutions and an internationally recognised centre for the training of musicians. Its mission combines more than two centuries of tradition with an open and forward-looking approach to the future of music.

The Academy brings together students and artists from more than 60 countries and offers training across a broad spectrum of disciplines, from performance and composition to conducting, jazz, opera and contemporary music. Its environment fosters collaboration, the exchange of ideas and the development of each artist’s individual voice.

In addition to providing outstanding academic and artistic training, the institution offers numerous performance opportunities and the chance to work alongside internationally renowned musicians who participate as teachers, mentors, collaborators and guest artists. In this way, the Royal Academy seeks not only to train exceptional musicians, but also to play an active role in shaping the future of music.

Guildhall School of Music and Drama

Guildhall School of Music & Drama is one of the United Kingdom’s leading institutions for professional arts education, located in the heart of London. Since its foundation in 1880, the School has trained generations of musicians, actors, artists and creative industry professionals.

Its programmes encompass music, drama, production and design, combining rigorous professional training with a strong spirit of innovation and experimentation. Students work closely with specialist teachers, visiting artists and industry professionals within an international and multidisciplinary environment.

Guildhall views artistic training as a process that brings together technical excellence, creativity and professional practice. Its facilities, performance venues and extensive programme of events provide students with opportunities to develop their own artistic voice and prepare for professional careers in the performing arts.
